"Make a Lampshade"- ONLINE - Beginners Steam Bending

The perfect introduction to steam-bending- now from the comfort of your own home!  Get a complete overview of the process as Charlie takes you through a 4 hour session of: twisting, splitting, compression straps, jigs, plus more! Then use your new skills at the end to create your own beautiful  Lampshade from locally sourced Ash Dieback. Each attendee will also receive a home steam bending kit to use on the course and keep for future creations.

*There will be a 30 min break half way through the course.

Each Home Steam Bending kit contains:

30 pieces of wood for bending

2 x steam bending jigs with wooden clamps

1 x wooden drying jig

1 x compression strap

1 x foil for making a pan top steamer

1 x sandpaper

1 x small bottle of oil

Students will need to provide their own:

Safety gloves.

A small saucepan.

Superglue.

Cancellations:

Our online course dates are non-refundable except in the unusual circumstances that a course is cancelled without any alternative date options being offered. If a course attendee wishes to transfer to another course date then we do require 30 days of notice prior to the original course date.
